ICF is looking for a full-time biologist with deep skills and a strong desire to support field surveys in California. This position provides an excellent growth opportunity to continue growing in a subject matter expert role with leadership opportunities focused on environmental compliance and permitting efforts for a variety of energy, water, transportation, planning, and restoration projects.

Biologists are be responsible for a range of environmental consulting services, including construction monitoring, avian species identification and nest surveys, general and focused biological field surveys and support, assisting with writing and reviewing technical reports and supporting documents such as Biological Technical Reports, Biological Assessments, technical memos, and providing as-needed field and office support to our local and regional Natural Resource team members.

Key Responsibilitie s

• Plan and execute field assignments for California-based work, with occasional travel to other states
• Conduct general and species-specific biological surveys and monitoring pursuant to the relevant regulations, codes and/or industry standards.
• Document field findings in monitoring logs, reports, memorandums, or email communications, as appropriate.
• Communicate with client field contacts and ICF senior biologists.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or other related field of study.
• Experience conducting field surveys, conducting habitat assessments, and writing general reports for California special-status wildlife species including mammals, herpetofauna, vernal pool branchiopods, nesting birds and raptors surveys
• Must have valid driver's license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

What We'd Like You to Have

• Existing relationships with industry professionals
• Experience with data entry and formatting.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word and Excel, Salesforce, Survey 123, ARCGIS, GoogleEarth, ISNet trained, LAN ID
• Proficiency with GPS technology for navigation and data collection

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$55,424.00 - $94,221.00
